As for the chap having his hair transplants, well talk about women being vain, how vain is that! Has he never heard of toupees? LOL

As for the bending down lol I had to laugh, cos my tummy and boobs get in the way of cutting my toenails, I dont do mine very often - its when they start looking longer than my finger nails and a member of the Addams Family would not look out of sight with them that I decide to deal with them. Why has nobody not manufactured a very long handled, now I mean like a garden edging tool which you can lengthen/shorten to your own comfort, for toe nail clippers? I know they do long handled ones - piffle, they are okay if you are three foot tall! And WHY did our feel have to so far down anyway! lol

Blimey Lorraine he sounds a bit of a disaster that pal of your hubbys!! My husband is very thin on top, but to be honest it doesn't bother me...I don't mind men who are bald. I mean I'd sooner they had hair,but if he was really good looking I'd tolerate it! What I can't stand is bad teeth and dirty men...(the type that don't wash!)

I'm quite lucky with my feet and toe nails, but I think that's more luck than anything, my dad had really good feet.

It's been a lovely day here in my kneck of the woods.

I'd better sign off for now or I'll get so engrossed that I'll end up being late for my shift!!

PS hubby had bad nails and the doctor prescribed Terbinafine (not sure if that's spelt right,) they were tablet form and it did the trick!

My mistake AB ,I don't need Tennas either.I think as both my children were born C Section that is why my plumbing hasn't been affected lol

have just read this through from the start and was nodding and reading bits out loud to my husband and then laughing so much that tears were running down my face,
I'm having a hot flush as I type this.Thanks to all of you who have added to this thread.Hope they come up with a safe alternative to HRT very soon.
I'm 52 and have had symptoms for the past 18 months.Another side effect I don't think anyone mentioned is the extra washing lol
I am forever changing my top because its soaked with sweat.I have to have a clean nightie each night because by the time I get up for my wee walk its soaked with sweat so much I can wring it out.
Also the sheets and pillowcases need changing more often.I have a "chillow" ,a pillow that's supposed to stay cold but by the morning even that is red hot.My family thought I had gone mad when I was sleeping on top of the covers with the bedroom window open in February with ice and snow outside.I even had the ceiling fan on last night.
Has anyone else noticed that when you have cold and your nose is blocked,a hot flush unblocks it for a little while lol.

Helen, I have not had any children and I have problems with my waterworks!

Which comes back nicely to extra washing, if having a bad night T*nas are not much good and I can be changing undercloths 3 times on a very bad night.

I also have weird dreams although I had'nt attributed that to the menopause,,,,,thought it was my BP tablets,

I'm beginning to think the men have more problems than us lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!E B I have always had weird dreams so I don't put them down to the change.Although I have to say they do seem to be a bit more weird .A few more dreams that have something to do with a sexual naturelolMaybe it is lack of you know what.To be honest I can't be bothered most of the time.I like my books.If I do feel a bit you know ??? OH says what brought that on then !!!

Now you are ALL going to disbelieve me, but I still put my electric blanket on.

I am the opposite to the majority of you poor sufferers ......even hubby likes the bed warm, I knew I was from another planet LOL

But I do have a twin sister that suffers hot flushes,and she sleeps on top of her bed ....no covers.
Cant think why I need to be warm....I blame my mother she must have swaddled me with covers when I was young,
The only thing that makes me flush is Red wine ..LOL

I have to say good night now .Can hardly keep my eyes open (nothing to do with wine) lol.I bet I will wake up about 12 30 and think it is nearly morning.I hate that,as I think I have been asleep for hours.

I don't know if I should relate this but I have a cat who has to be surgically removed from me.He is obsessed and must be able to see or touch me as much as possible.I often wake up to find he is asleep on me.

I was hot the other night and slept face down with the covers off,and everything else.Just drifting off when on he climbs,turns to face my feet ,lies down my back,carefully places one paw,yes,you've guessed,then the other.Like a cycle rack.

So how do you move him so as to keep his claws retracted because there are places where you really don't want him holding on!!!!!

He thinks he is kindly allowing us to sleep in his catbed.It is not usual to have a frightening eperience like that.

Ann - yes I do beleive I mentioned it - dreadful isn't it how ones legs seem to stretch as we get older! lol

I cant paint them as good as I used to, I go and have them painted.
