My niece was telling me that her grandchildren have not needed sun cream on since May, and I quite believe her. I have never before suffered from athritis, but the constant damp is bringing it on. Life does seem to go downhill after the change! |

Our beans are a bit slow in growing, but at last I am able to pick some.I just love them.As Catie says they are so expensive.I must buy several packs a week went we don't have our own.But I think I will be cutting down on them. The trouble is they are my favourite veg ,and the kids too eats lots of them.Things have gone up so much !!!!I wonder how some people manage. |

My sister works for social services in Cheltenham as an (I think) an OT assistant. She goes out to peoples houses to assess their needs eg baths ,ramps, rails etc.She has been really impressed with the amount of help people are given by Glos Social Services. |

My friend Fitz who lives down the lane booked a helicopter flight for his wife's 40th.It landed in the back field behind their house ,and he had to persuade her to get dressed as there was a 'surprise' waiting. She hadn't even heard it lol. |

I had the offer many many years ago to go up in a balloon.I was a nanny and visitors staying came with theirs .I just didn't have the nerve and opted to be in the chaser car.I seem to remember them having a radio to track their course, and haring along country lanes in the back of this open top car.It was great fun.My friend and her Hubby went up for his 70th birthday last year. They loved it. |

The department of the concil we use may be funded by the Welsh Assembly, I dont know. I contact the Enabling People division and they come to the house and take your details and ask what you need done, Some things they can do quickly, others take longer. Had a small wash basin installed in the toilet, which is separate from the bathroom. This was for hygeine purposes as we both have bowel problems and I can be incontinent sometimes. I t makes it much easier to cope. We had grab rails in the toilet to help with getting up too. They would have provided help to get out of bed, but the available gadgets were all for single beds, so we didnt opt for those. This is all done to keep you out of more expensive care homes. My sister, who owns her own house but has a low income, was given a walk-in shower and her bath removed. May be we are better off in Wales. |

If you live in GB you can get in touch with the Social services, and as a disabled person you are entitled to help. I had a bath seat free before we had the shower. It never hurts to ask. |

I was lucky really as a teen not to have many spots.I had one though that I will never forget. It was like a 'blind boil' right on the end of my nose!!!!!.Red and hard.Dad called me Rudolph!! how cruel was that.It last so long that I was put on the list at the hospital to have it lanced or something. But before I got an appointment it came to a head ,and I gave it a good squeeze.I won't describe the muck lol.It cleared up and I forgot all about it.I then went to work in Greece ,and while I was there I had a letter from my parents to say the appointment had come through from the hospital lol. This was several months later.Thankfully it never came back. |

Hi Christine, I've never heard about toothpaste for spots before. Like you, I've been lucky, but they are a curse.... No matter what your age. |

Hello Christine .... So it's been quiet has it lol I've been away working in Germany and really enjoyed it thank you. The weather was great and we spent a lot of our free time cycling. There are lots of cycle trails in the Black Forest and it was fantastic. Now it's back to reality lol |
