Well I think Belle covered all bases, but I will still have my twopennyworth. :-D

It is getting tighter and tighter to call :-0

Tasha and her Quickstep I thought was very snappy and they rushed around the floor. Great stuff.

Shane did his best with the Rumba, but it is very hard for the man as all the judges constantly remind us.

Sarah and her American Smooth hit all the spots again. I cannot say I know who she is, but she is constantly mentioning Miranda Hart :-S :-S

Pete was an emotional wreck at the end of his dance dedicated to his Nan. Apparently he is one of the few non dancers left, but he certainly has gone from 0 to 90 in the stakes.

JB was giving it his all with his Samba, and was likened to Danny Mac, he certainly enjoyed himself.

I also thought Jaimies Argentine Tango was a disappointment. Not enough gauchos for me. At one time I thought his partner was dancing around him.

Wynne with his American Smooth was quirky.

Montelle and Johannes was very dramatic, although why Johannes was wearing a skirt like outfit was a bit lost on me.

Chris, well what can one say about Chris? Never ceases to amaze and astound every week. How poignant too that he covered Diannes eyes and the stage went into blackout, akin to blindness, and then when the lights came back up again, he was spinning her around.

I think too it maybe Shane and Jaimie in the dance off, but then again, what do I know? :-D

As you would expect the competition is well and truly heating up and is getting more and more difficult to choose a winner :-0

Tasha's Quickstep was, as you would expect, very good and she certainly covered the floor :-)

I was not sure about Shayne's Rumba :-0. It is a highly technical dance but I'm not a Rumba fan :-0. I didn't think it flowed as it should have done :-(

Sarah's American Smooth wasn't, I don't think, her best dance :-0 Yes, there were a lot of lifts but they were down to Vito's strength more than anything else :-). Mind you I wouldn't have liked to have been in her position :-D

Pete's Couples Choice was very emotional and at the end he was finding it difficult to keep it all together...his bottom lip was quivering <3. He has grown as a dancer as the competition has gone on and I thought this was his best dance :-)

JB really loved his Samba and it showed, by far his best dance to date :-)

Jamie's Argentine Tango was the disappointment of the night for me :-0. I love this dance but I'm afraid I thought he looked wooden and looked as though he was struggling with the lifts :-(. Such a shame as he was so looking forward to doing it :-(

Wynne's American Smooth was good and for someone of his statue he is light on his feet and managed the lifts with ease :-). He always puts a comical element into his dances and I'm looking forward to him doing the Charleston :-)

Montell's Paso was very strong and as the weeks have passed she certainly has become a more confident dancer :-)

Chris's Couples Choice, as his previous dances, never ceases to amaze me :-0. For a non-sighted person his timing is exceptional although I'm sure Dianne ensures she is in time with him but he has the musicality for her to do that :-). Also credit to Dianne to trust Chris with the lifts :-0. Well done to both of them :-)

The dances of the night for me were JB and Montell :-)

The two I think should be in the dance off are Shayne and Jamie :-(. It's a toss up which should go though :-0. The fate of all the dancers is now in the hands of the Public so anything could happen :-0

There was a rumour earlier this week that Johannes was leaving at the end of this series. He has confirmed this not to be true apparently.

However, he has hinted he will be joining the cast of Kinky Boots stage show. :-)

AnninGlos Report 5 Nov 2024 12:19

I think it is just the foot injury apparently it happened in rehearsal and is this same foot that had an injury before but a different bone. She needs to make sure that is properly healed before she dances on it even though it is frustrating. wishing her well and a good recovery.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 5 Nov 2024 10:47

I agree 100% Maddie :-). I hope we will see her in the Clauditorium on Saturdays :-) <3

MotownGal Report 5 Nov 2024 07:28

Although very sad, far better for Amy to get herself well. <3

Lauren will take over, and very probably include Amy in any decisions.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 4 Nov 2024 22:33

Oh I had not seen that I hope it is nothing more serious than a foot injury We will miss her energy and smiles. She will feel so down she just so loves to dance. Luckily JB has a good replacement with Lauren but he must be upset as well. (for Amy).

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 4 Nov 2024 19:37

Poor Amy will not be returning to dance <3 It says to help her recover from a foot injury....I hope it is nothing else :-( <3 She didn't look herself on Saturday :-(

MotownGal Report 4 Nov 2024 12:17

I do believe it will be a male who has had dance experience ;-) ;-)

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 4 Nov 2024 09:39

Do tell, Maddie ;-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 4 Nov 2024 07:46

Oh dear, it just continues each week :-(

Pitch a not so good dancer, against a terrific one.

I am sorry to see Sam go. She seemed such a genuine girl, and had no experience of dancing.

I think I know who will win the competition already :-(

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 4 Nov 2024 07:33

It was such a shame to see Sam go :-(

It's getting to that time in the competition when anything can happen :-0

Pete has done well especially from Week 1 but I do hope his fans don't keep him in at the expense of a more worthy dancer :-(. If Pete and Sam had been in the dance off I'm sure The Judges would have picked Sam over Pete :-). The Vote is a big part of Strictly and always has been so I suppose it adds a little bit more drama to the show :-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 3 Nov 2024 20:04

Well I was surprised that Pete got through and then surprised at the two in the dance off. I couldn’t have guessed then which couple would go. Jamie really thought it was going to be him in the dance off.

JustGinnie Report 3 Nov 2024 13:37

I enjoyed watching JoJo and Montell dancing. As I'm not a fan of Vito and Sarah I didn't really pay attention to them at all. Tasha is a beautiful dancer but I can't take to Aljiaz at all. However I liked Icon week but don't understand why the judges had to be dressed up.
I think Pete is in danger of being in the bottom two maybe with Shane or Sam.

The ones I'd like to be in the dance off are the ones that are most likely to be in the final but that just me . :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 3 Nov 2024 09:48

Please, please stop the judges from dressing up. It is becoming silly now. Also why do Motsi and Shirley have to out-screech other all the time. The point of the show is for the dancers, not the judges to try and outshine them. See, I am getting fed up with the format :-D :-D

Shame about Pete, but I dont know if he will go, he has too many followers.

I thought that Wynne's Rumba was very dramatic, and I agree how he found the puff to end that song, was terrific.

Chris still manages to amaze me every week. Dianne really knows her stuff and they work very well together. Wonderful.

Not keen on the street dance with JB, but it must have been difficult to change partners at such short notice.

For me the dance of the night was Montell and Johannes. Wonderfully floaty and graceful.

There was a list in the paper the other day, how many of the contestants had dance training before. Be it at stage school or dancing academies. Not many have no experience at all. I love it when someone has not dances before, and rises through the ranks. <3

Possibly Shane and Pete in the dance off.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 3 Nov 2024 09:13

I think I can just say that Belle has said it all for me. I did enjoy Icons night. I also am not a fan of street etc dancing but I actually enjoyed JBs dance as light relief. I think they danced well together and I was pleased to see Amy, even though she was emotional, I also didn't think she looked properly recovered so I hope she is not going to push herself to return too early. I think she agreed that JB is in 'safe hands'. Jamie was not as good, seemed to be more impressed with being George Michael than performing the dance.Sarah's legs won the evening I think. they are beautiful and she uses them to the best advantage too. And I loved Tasha's couples dance, beautiful and reminiscent of Rose's dance. I think Belle is right Jamie and Pete should be in the dance off but who knows when the public are involved.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 3 Nov 2024 07:48

I enjoyed Icons Night. I do agree with what Maddie has said in the past that the singers should be named, I thought they did brilliantly :-)

It was lovely to see Amy back but I didn't think she look quite herself and was quite nervous <3

I felt sorry for Pete because he really did fluff his dance :-(

Wynne's dance brought a tear to my eye and how on earth he had enough puff to sing at the end of his dance is unbelievable even though it was only four words....such a powerful song :-)

Chris is still A-maa-zing, his footwork is so good :-)

Sarah's Cha Cha Cha was I think one of the dances of the show, her legs are fantastic and I think the Latin dances show them off to good effect :-)

JB's Couples Choice was entertaining and looked good but I'm not into that form of dance :-0

I liked Sam's American Smooth and after the problems she'd had previously with her Quickstep I think she proved she can dance Ballroom :-)

Montell's Waltz was elegant and to a song that was ideal :-)

Jamie for me disappointed :-( I don't think it flowed as good as it could have done but that could be down to choreography :-0

Tasha's Couples Choice was beautiful. The emotion in the dance reminded me of Rose's dance a few years back:-). As one of the Judges said it was as if Aljaz wasn't there which was a credit to him :-)

Shayne's Quickstep I thought was good but not exceptional, for me the Beatles songs made it for me :-)

For me I think Pete and Jamie should be in the dance off, with Pete to go :-0. However, when you get to this stage of the competition anything could happen especially if Pete has a large fan base :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 2 Nov 2024 17:15

I suppose it is something to watch though MTG. And still some good dancing.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 2 Nov 2024 08:07

Icons Week tonight. Dancing to music by the likes of George Michael and Taylor Swift :-0

Another dragged out episode with lots of padding I fear.

With all the silliness going on, it may be the last year I will be watching, which is a shame because I did love the original format. :-(

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 29 Oct 2024 08:39

Lauren Oakley is standing in for Amy with JB this week. DM report insinuates that Amy is hoping to be back next week. However Lauren is a good dancer so JB is in good hands
