Afternoon everyone,
Lovely sunny day here and hot again.

Been very naughty ! went to the chocolate factory with son and DIL and bought Chocolate Walnut whips ,two packets !!

Mel, looks like you'll have to get the scrubbing brush out if you carn't use the pressure washer, all these things we have to make life easier ,we don't half miss them when they go wrong !!

Jane , do you think Hannah will have a few bruises when she gets home ,it must shake you up ,even if your harnessed in .

Afternoon All,

Hope Hannah doesn't spin too much. I suppose it could be head over heels and sideways rolling. lol She's game to try things isn't she.

Mandy, OH just talked me into a hot chocolate while we were out!! lol I love walnut whips too.

I hope our pressure washer still works.....haven't had it out yet this year till we decide on new slabs or not. We do take these things for granted don't we. Would some bleach on them and left a few minutes clean them Mel?

Putting some lettuce plants in the greenhouse next....it will be sweltering in there.....only about 10 to plant. Will need a lolly I made out of some flat Vimto afterwards to cool off.

I've just realised I must do 1 load less washing a week since OH retired. It was all those shirts he wore I think.

Hubby's a bit shook up ,he just saw a terrible accident ,he was in a line of traffic and the car in front let a car out from a side road ,a young lad on a motor bike came passed Hubby and smashed into the car turning out .
Hubby said the lad went off the bike up into the air ,his helmet came flying off and he landed with a thud on the ground ,he was only wearing a T shirt ,hubby said the boy wasn't moving at all, he thought he was dead ,poor boy.

There were other boys on bikes following him ,hubby said they went over to the boy then turned on the poor car driver .
As there were plenty of witnesses hubby didn't stay as he had an appointment to keep, but when he tried to come home the whole road was closed off.
Son had a bike when he was younger to travel to college on ,i used to be on edge every time he went out .

Mandy ,how awful !!.I'm not surprised he is shaken.Poor boy too,how on earth did his helmet come off I wonder, just the force I suppose. You may hear something on your news. That type of accident is so common with motorbikes and cycles.Your OH may be shaken for some time seeing something like that.

! have this silly sundress on and Chris says I look like the Sugar Plum Fairy.I know I do but he could have kept quiet lolol, and gone and sniggered elsewhere.
Hot Chocolate in this heat Ann!!!!

What you been up to now Jane Sugar plum fairy, I can just imagine that.
I think you can still get coffee wallnut whips, but it's not something I would eat.
I watered the greenhouse first thing this morning as it was so dry. Should start to see the cues soon. Have anyone had any new pots. from the bags yet. Can't remember when I planted them. ?????

What are you implying Shirl, nothing wrong with an old man looking.!!!! as long as he dosn't touch.

I remember back in the 60s. I was following a Triumph Herald. along the main road from Corby to Kettering. When for no reason the car turned left straight into a ditch and hit a tree, It was on it's side, I managed to get the passenger door open,. There were two elderly woman laying on each other. I reached down to try to help them and grabed a Bone sticking though the leg. All hot blood over my hand. I managed to get to a Telephone and dial 999 for the police ambulance and fire brigade. It was in the Area of Barford Bridge, which is supposed to be haunted by an old woman, and many accidents happened there. Something I will never forget.

Slept on and off last night. The weight of head on ear hurt it a few times. Lying on R side unnatural for me and R shoulder aches anyway. Lying on my back I snore at the ceiling. Can't win.

I haven't any of that olive oil in. Wonder if I could find a chemist open tomorrow? That cooking oil wouldn't do I suppose?

Last time I got drops for my ear I'm sure it was carbonated soda solution, or have I just made that up?

Tracey

Tracey Report 3 Jul 2010 20:51

NO-DAVE-NOT COOKING OIL#######

DO YOU HAVE MINARIL OIL

Annx

Annx Report 3 Jul 2010 20:56

The hot chocolate was in an air conditioned cafe Jane, but yes it did make me a bit hot.

I have some cucumbers about 9 inches long, they are pulling the plant to the ground...........how do you support yours Jane?

I cleaned the inside of the bedroom windows and frames between watching the tennis and then sorted 2 drawers in the bedroom and watched the tennis there. Some of the make up in there must be ?????years old. You're supposed to chuck it out after a few months. I found a few things I'd lost too......one of those little defuzzing gadgets to get the bobbles off clothes...........so satisfying seeing the bobbles come off and leave smooth material. OH fetched a jacket for me to do straightaway. lol He wore a Casio digital watch every day till he retired. It is over 30 years old including the metal strap and still going strong but the strap is always catching on his jackets!!

Annx Report 3 Jul 2010 21:03

Just been looking at the zorbing piccies........no definitely not for me!! I didn't even like the blood rushing to my head doing handstands up the wall when I was a child. lol My friend and I would see who could stay in a handstand the longest.....she always won. lol

MillymollyAmanda Report 3 Jul 2010 21:26

I looked at the photo's ,i couldn't to it ,it must make you very dizzy ,and suppose you get a puncture !!

We could really do with a nice steady rain all night ,the garden is so dry, even though i water it.
My Runner Beans have lots of white flowers, just hope the beans form , the ones we used to grow had red flowers on them .
