Frank Chris was at Weedon all afternoon. That is why he was so late tonight. Is Weedon your neck of the woods? We never eat early as he is never in until at least 6.30.Then he doesn't want to eat straightaway.Have just put the dishes in the washer, and you are right I will be in bed before long.

daughter no 2 boyfriend started a new job on Monday. He is doing research for a local comunity Links programe , they publish and provide a monthly magazine , that is sent out into the surrounding areas of Hamilton He is also working on the computers graphics side and going into the comunity to research , take photo's etc
His first project is on researching and creating leaflets on encourageing mums to Breastfeed ( that was a bit of a surprise to us ) finding out which was the most popular way of feeding through the generations of mums , grans etc over last 50 years, and why in today's society that so many woman prefer to bottle feed instead of breastfeeding, he will come incontact with many people, Drs, nurses, health visitors, and new mums and there families,
Interesting job, it's only for 6 months but at least he will be doing something useful. and earning some money, he loves working with computers and the photography side of it.

Morning All, (JUST).

Been busy looking after his lordship. Bacon sandwhich, Weetabi#, milky coffee. Have vacumed all through. Ros can hardly walk today, her back and leg are terrible she's living on pain killers. Rang doctor. Got to ring 8.am Friday. nothing till then. I would have gone up and waited till they had finished surgery, then they would have had to see me, but she's not like that.

Jane Weedon is about 10 miles from us, down the A43 then up the A5

Your poor wife Frank, I am sorry. Has she get sciatica? if so, that is really wicked. I had it some years ago and it reduced me to tears the pain was so bad. In the end I had Acupuncture and that did the trick. It doesn't always work with everyone though, but might be worth a try. Tomorrow we go to Wantage, to see the family! daughter, Son,S-in Law and three Grandchildren, Polly aged 10 Alice aged 7 and Edward aged 3. The girls are absolute dears, Edward is a dear BUT lively! need I say more!!! full of charm too which doesn't help on the disipline front!!! I can't wait to see them, 3 months is FAR too long!

MillymollyAmanda Report 27 Oct 2010 13:22

Oh poor Ros, you look after her Frank , surely they must have some emergency appointments for each day i know ours does, if you ring first thing .

Oh Elizabeth ,i bet you carn't wait to see the little ones ,and i bet you'll spoil them !!!
My grandaughter Chelsea is three she a little humbug knows just how to get her own way lol she just has to give you one of her beaming smiles with her head on one side and i give in !!!

Lovely and sunny ,washing all dry .

Lovely here too now...still got this vertigo, but am going to brave it with a walk with dog. Just hope she does nt see a rabbit!

Seen lots of red kites about this morning, also a common buzzard.Sometimes the crows attack the kites, fasinating to watch.. I went to a birds of prey centre couple of weeks ago...it was so quiet there, they let me fly a couple of kestrels, harris hawk and a milky owl(african). Anyway, i m hooked.. i want to learn falconery, so am looking for suitable course and eventually have my own bird..a harris hawk i hope. Has anyone done any falconary??

On with the wellies now...dont think i ll walk too near the lake!!!!

LilyL

LilyL Report 27 Oct 2010 14:06

Heavens no Jill I've never done Falconary, but I think it would be a brilliant thing to do. We've got a Falconary place quite close to us here on Exmoor, and is a really interesting place to visit. Horrible blow fly buzzing round, must be the sun bringing them out!

Afternoon girls,
Lis, they tried acupuncture last week at the Phiso's, Not done any good. They think she has a trapped nerve in the bottom of her back, I have told her to tell the doctor she needs to be refered to the hospital. She can't go on like this. Like us, we don't see Lewis as much as we would like. He's at Scouts every Friday. Football every Sunday morning, so it tends to be school holidays that we ger him. That's why he gets spoilt. Ros says you can't spoil a perfect child. !!!!! thats nanny for you.!!!!

Mandy, We didn't ring first thing, That to us is after 9am.

Jill where are you.?? Close to Leicestershire/Northamptonshire. Don't know what happened there. !! We see the Red Kites around Corby when we go to our son's in Rutland, very close to Rutland Water. We also see the Fish hawkes (Can't think of their name) That have been nesting there for a few years. What a loverly idea, doing falconry. Never known anyone who does it. But there is a place at ISLIP, near Kettering, that do this sort of thing. He's writing pieces in the local paper.

Jane Report 27 Oct 2010 14:45

Poor Ros Frank.I hope you are waiting on her hand and foot.
Liz are you all packed up and ready to go.I bet you will be exhausted by the time you get back home lol.Make sure to check the travel reports before you leave.I had the car radio on this morning and there seemed to be horrendous hold ups on lots of the motorways !!!!!

Jill we have lots of Red Kites and Buzzards here .The Kites are beautiful. When Ann came down the other week we actually saw 2 sat next to eachother on some fence posts in a field.Did we have a camera between us? No !!!
Many years ago I spotted a manat the bottom of our garden trying to climb over the fence into nxt door.He was carrying an ariel or something. It turned out he was trying to find his Hawk .I think it had a tracking thing on ,but it had flown off lol.Poor chap was in a right old state .

I have just PM'd everyone.

Had a lovely walk, ended up going to local farm..bit wary of the cow pats though with dog pulling!

I live just outside of Rickmansworth Frank, Hertfordshire. On the edge of the Chilterns..totally spoilt for walks.

Have been doing a lot of reading up on falconery..it s going to be a lot of training and understanding..am in process of persuading OH to build the avairy and shed, then booking on course.Already know someone who breeds birds of prey..so hopefully early next year will have my bird. There is a very good falconery school where i went at the Shuttleworth grounds off the A1m at Biggleswade.

Frank sometimes an epidural can work on lower back problems, hopefully your wife wont be waiting to o long for referral.

Now i must hunt for my passport..seem to have mislaid it and got a flight booked in three weeks time!!! Flying to Germany and back in one day!!! Taking dad to see his brothers war grave near Hannover.

Fiona

Fiona Report 27 Oct 2010 15:41

Jane just PM you.

Went down to visit dad but he was fast asleep in bed, seemingly he has not been sleeping these past few nights they are struggling to get him to stay in bed and to go to sleep. they didn't tell me how they finely managed it but I do wonder if they gave him a sleeping pill to go to sleep.
it's not so good about Roz Frank must be very painfull for her. Drs are hard work these days to get appointments,
I need to sort out my medication but could not get appointment this week , managed to get one for next Tuesday, good job it can wait till then
