Morning All,

Nice and sunny today down here.

Thanks for the piccies Ann and Maureen.

I had looked at Ann's before reading what had been going on.

Poor you Ann, I would have hated it to have been me!!! If it had happened to OH it would'nt have been so bad. You could have wiped it off easier!! Lol.

Maureen Alfie has grown a lot.

Jane thanks for the thing from David.

Frank I had'nt thought of an egg custard!! What a good idea, she used to like custard tarts when I made them. Shall have to try that idea.

When SIL came she brought some things for OH which were found in his mums house. There is an Easter Card he made when about 5 or 6. It has the usual blue sky at the top with the sun just underneath in the middle of it. Then on the ground are pink and blue flowers either side with a yellow chick in the middle.

Afternoon All,

Glorious and sunny again.......I'll be out in the garden next, doing more rock edges to the flower beds.

Mandy I think I would have jumped in the canal if it had been "pee".......even worse as you say.........I hadn't even thought of that!! lol After it happened OH even suggested walking over that bridge. 'No way I said, thinking of all the mud and sh*t and me probably ending up ar*e over t*t in it as Frank would say. lol

Mel, that made OH laugh and say 'charming!!!!' lol He says it's like being in a Carry On film here at times. Maybe I should take up walking in a tin hat or souwester. lol Glad your mum fancied and managed some of the egg custard and how lovely to see that old easter card made as a child.

I think that is best Fiona.....it would be too distressing for you to watch. OH has had it done and without sedation.....at least it doesn't last long.

I must say I'm really enjoying Downton Abbey.....looking forward to next week's episode.

May I see David's pic Jane? BBL

Afternoon to all,

So glad mum liked the egg custard. you could try it with a little grated nutmeg on it. It will be another taste in her mouth, that she might like.

Don't you overdo it Jane, don't want you laid up, do we.???

Karen I know the sweets you mean, they had a peppermint taste, didn't they. I chewed on one, and lost a filling. But by jove I did love them.!!!!

A great day here again, a bit windy but loverly blue sky with the odd fluffy cloud. Whats that song about that.???? a white fluffy duster hanging on the wind to dry.

Not doing much today, other than annoy ROS>!!!!

Annx

Annx Report 11 Oct 2010 15:32

I've not heard that song Frank. Poor Ros......you behave now!!!!OH has whizzed out to do some weeding as well Jane. Thanks for the e-mail from David.......my worst nightmare that would be!! lol The rocks are in place down one side of the garden now, so I can at least get plants put in there before the bad weather. Having a rest and a cuppa now.

Catie, are your e-mails working yet? Mine has just told me mine are temporarily unavailable. Sounds like they are doing some 'fixes'.

Hi Karen.......those sweets weren't in a whirl of green and white were they?

Hi Everyone,

Wall to wall sunshine here. We are really excited here today.... Mark has given us his first little smile....I had a few tears to be honest - just wished Nicky had been here to see her lovely son.

Ann..... I haven't been able to access my inbox at all....So I called the tech team. What a joke.... Couldn't understand what the lady was saying. I asked to speak with someone else, who told me that The Servers are being Updated and should be complete by Thursday. You would have thought they would have put that info up on their home page. Moan Over lol
So...If anyone has emailed - thank you - hope to see them soon lol

Had a humdinger of a head today...so will sign off and catch you all am.
Hope things went ok for your dad Fiona. Mel..would your mum be tempted by a little rice or macaroni pudding?
Hope everyone else is ok ~~~~~

Afternoon all,

Another sunny day ,been in the front garden doing a bit of weeding filled two bin bags i didn't realise it was so bad ,did a bit of digging and the soil dug over lovely ,but how my back will be in the morning i don't know !!

Talking of cow poo ,when hubby knocked out a fire place for my sister he painted the wall with watered down cow poo before he rendered the wall, its supposed to kill the acid in the soot that was on the wall ,then you can plaster , we all wondered if it would smell ,but it didn't at all.

I'am doing one of those homepri*e cookin sauces for tea ,Vegetable Bake it's a new one ,cook a few veg ,pour on the sauce and grate some cheese on the top ,in the oven for 30 mins and think i'll cook some rice to go with it .
Said to hubby its meat free tonight , don't think he's that impressed !!! we'll see what its like .

I had to book our visit to see Santa today at Thursford ,there's 8 adults and four children going this year ,i think the adults are more excited than the little ones lol it just so lovely there, really magical , it was £114 for all of us, £7-50 for adults and £13-50 for children because they get a present , and last year they had really good presents .

Fiona Report 11 Oct 2010 17:02

Afternoon all
I had a lazy morning then daughter no 1 came down and we went shopping. daughter no 1 decided to buy Sofia 3 small presents for christmas and put them away no need to buy a lot of things this year as Sofia has no clue about christmas , she had a little extra money left over from Sofia birthday , so she spent some and has saved some for a snowsuit and boots when its gets really cold.

I am looking forward to when it's time to put up the christmas tree this year
as Sofia was getting excited over the lights in the shop
she kept pointing to all the ceiling lights am sure she will enjoy the christmas decorations with all the coloured lights .

JANE, Dad is now back from the hospital, care home phoned about 1.30 and told me that he is loaded with cold but they still went a head with the examination they did not sedate him but used the throat spray, He was ok for about 10mins then started to make a fuss, so they did the best they could , they said they didn't find anything with the amount of time they had and they will not be repeating the procedure on dad.
they will send a letter to dads doctor and we will have to wait to see what he says.

I remember you going last year Mandy. It does seem a lot of money though.

Well I did my weeding too and done the kitchen floors and now my thumb looks twice it's size.I think I have a bit of Arthritis in it.I have a casserole in the oven and the potatoes are cooking ready to be mashed.I can just reheat them in the microwave when dinner is ready.

Catie ,I felt a little emotional too when I read that Mark has smiled for the first time.It is such a special moment .
I hope you get rid of the headache soon.

Those mints aren't the Trebor Spearmint ones are they,in the red and green and white wrappers?

Frank ,have you heard from your son today .I bet he had a blast doing that dive.

Jane

Jane Report 11 Oct 2010 17:15

I just realised Fiona they don't sedate for endoscopy as they need the patient to help swallow the tube.I hope it wasn't too traumatic though.I can understand them saying they will not do it again.I bet he is exhausted now.
