Just had a "SKYPE" from son. Weather still very hot, last night they went on a Sunset cruise on a Catamaran for 1 1/2 hours. Saw loads of Dolphins. Going on a snorkelling Safari, this afternoon. The food is out of this world. You can have anything you want. Lobster, Crab, All kinds of fish. Fillit Steak, Pork, Lamb, They will be as fat as "PIGS" when they get home.

Have just tried Shirl, on skype, no reply, I bet she's still in bed, or busy with the patients.

Just went down to the Chickens, and the Blood# cat from next door but one had them pened up in the corner of the run. If I get hold of it !!!! Last time I caught it doing that I threw a handful of stones, and smashed my shed windows.!!! won't be doing that again.

Still no brighter here, going to sit in the lounge now, and put on the lights.

Afternoon Mandy and everyone,

Lovely here....lots of sun...and quiet because they are all at the zoo lol. My dad has worn the baby out and so that's good lol

I will send you an email Fiona, when I can access my mail. Tiscali are now Tal# Tal# and have changed their format for access... So much so...can't access. I'm told my inbox is full and I must delete...but I can't get in to do so lol Anyway, I know it's not full. ANN...are you having problems please?
Glad Sophia and your daughter are on the mend, Fiona.

Andrew had to give a Presentation last night. As I knew it would be followed by a meal at a posh restaurant I went along. Although it was obvious I was with Andrew, there was a guy there who kept pestering me. I couldn't say what I thought, for obvious reasons, but it really annoyed me. Some men !!!!! Lol

Shirl.... You could have told me SOONER lol

It is really dull here, but dry at the moment. Now I've had to cut up my debit card I feel lost without it.........eyes drawn to the gap in my purse! OH has gone to a match at Redditch so I'm home alone like Frank. lol

Sorry to hear Sofia is still unwell and now your daughter Fiona. I hope Sofia doesn't pick the bug up too unless perhaps that is what she has had. Hope you can have a good relax today.

Frank, glad you are giving the CANAL a wide berth!! It was like a magnet to me and my friend as 9 year olds and we would always be walking along the towpath on Saturday mornings, fishing with our nets or watching the water voles swimming about. There were crayfish and sticklebacks then too, but there aren't anymore. The gipsy horses were tethered on long chains on the flood meadows...... another big attraction. We used to set off with pocketfuls of stale bread and would fill up their water buckets from the canal for them. Happy days when the sun always seemed to shine.

Well, I have to tidy up around the computer now. OH will be using it more with this latest job. I'm even having to brush up on my computer skills.....he asked me how to watermark paper with 'draft copy' last night!!!! Like it is something I have done before......not!! Still, we did find how it's done after a few clicks here and there. Do children learn proper typing at school nowadays??

Jane Report 9 Oct 2010 14:38

LOL Catie if you weren't attached you might have enjoyed the attention. Was he gorgeous ???
Send some sun this way please .How was your day in Cambridge?

Frank would the cat actually get the chickens?

Mandy ,Chester seems to be sniffing around just outside the back door .I think we have mice or Shrews somewhere close by.
Chris has just finished putting up the new greenhouse.I have to say I am impressed with him .He has done a great job.I just hope it doesn't blow down in the wind lol

Chris has given me this slope thing to put my laptop on ,on the table .It is brilliant .I sit up much better and can type much easier.

Ann ,I think I have had to destroy a few cards when I thought they were lost ...only to find them just after making the phone call to say they were missing.
Has your OH filled that long questionnaire in yet??

Annx

Annx Report 9 Oct 2010 14:50

Frank could you try a WATER PISTOL......or will you be a menace with it and soak Ros? lol

CATIE...... I had an e-mail saying mine was full, so I deleted some......I had a lot in my SENT and TRASH All they say is that if you go over the limit your account is frozen so that you cannot receive more e-mails until you clear some. It doesn't say you won't be able to access them though. I did have had a problem once with access, but it was ok the next day. Maybe yours is a glitch that will be put right overnight. It is a nuisance though when you have no idea what is wrong.

Ann... Thanks for that. I will see if the gremlins are at work tomorrow,if so, will be on the war path lol

Jane, he wasn't gorgeous at all lol I would have liked to say ''sorry, but I'm not looking for a sugar daddy'', but I had to be good and smile politely lol
I enjoyed walking around Cambridge Jane... The weather was lovely and lots to see.... But the ''do'' which Andrew had to attend was really boring. I thought I had landed on a different planet... Didn't understand a word of what was being said. It was like watching paint dry lol Never was very good at science lol

Annx Report 9 Oct 2010 17:08

Ohhh Catie.....hope he didn't think 'she's playing hard to get, the minx!!!' lol, lol. Sounds like you handled it like a lady.

Jane, you have just reminded me that I heard the mousetrap go off in the loft last night.....job for OH when he gets home....I can't bear seeing their sweet little faces in the trap, but don't want them in the loft!

Mandy, Chester demonstrated his 'bum spray' when I saw Jane. Stood as good as gold, but with his tail down, never even flinched when she did it and it was a good squirt.....what a good boy!

Jane , i suppose the mice are now looking for some where to get in for the winter ,don't leave a door open to long ,they'll think your inviting them in lol

Oh Ann, i don't think i could sleep if i heard mice above me !!!
We were out in the car this afternoon and a little Weasel ran across the road in front of us ,boy can they move !!

Chester is good if he lets you get to his bottom to spray him ,if i try to look at Toby's bottom (which i had to do after his op ) he just sits down !!!!

We bought Jake a bike this afternoon ,as we were coming through a village there were bikes for sale in a driveway and we bought a lovely bike for £15 ,the man said his children had grown to big for them and he had done them up to sell, he had quite a few there ,on the way home i said to hubby i hope they weren't pinched !!!
When the children come they argue who will ride the bike so now Jake can have the bigger one .

Jane

Jane Report 9 Oct 2010 18:17

Mandy ,there is a man who lives near my sister who has lots of bikes for sale outside his house. She has had a couple off him over the years and has been really pleased with them.He buys up bikes and does them up.Looks like a good little business .

As Ann said Chester held his tail down when I mentioned 'Bum spray' .But when I said let "Mummy Look" he lets me lift his tail.He is used to it now on a twice daily basis lol

Frank

Frank Report 9 Oct 2010 19:59

Good old David, get something that is going to do some good. If we have another bad winter Ellen will be better off with a Duffle coat rather than frilly nickers.!!!!

Catie, You know if you need a Sugar Daddy, I'm here buit have no money, but plenty of understanding. Hows those children.??

Jane has the Vet given you any idea whats wrong with Chesters Bum. Has CHRIS seen anything like it in humans ???

Annx I have a BIG water gun, but forget to fill it, and keep it down by the chickens.

I have loads of mice in the bottom shed, but there is nothing they can harm, so they have a safe haven. I did find a nest in the draw, where I use to keep a big ball of string. Now in tiny pieces.

Jane

Jane Report 9 Oct 2010 20:22

Vous Parlais Francais then David lol.Je Parlais Francais un Petit Peu .
Well that is enough of my French lol(I'm sure I have spelled all that wrong)Dunces corner for me.

Frank ,it is the underside of Chesters tail which joins his bum which is the problem. It is just some kind of allergy from something outside in the garden. The trouble is because it is under his tail ,it is a warm and moist place and doesn't get the air to it.So a bit of a problem. It will probably just clear up until next year.

Jane

Jane Report 9 Oct 2010 20:24

Frank ,I am sure Chris has had lots of experiences with peoples backsides lol.All part and parcel of his daily work lol

But never mind we all still eat it, a good winter dish for a cold night.

CatieI Report 9 Oct 2010 20:38

Talking of ''frilly nickers''..... A friend of mine took a gap year before uni and landed a job in a large department store in London. On his first day he was taken to the lingerie department and was mortified. A lot of guys might have enjoyed the experience..... but he was really shy ...ahhhh. Within a week he left to work in a factory packing..can't remember what lol

Frank...the children run me ragged lol. The twins were at the zoo today and had a wonderful time. Little things they say, show they are still hurting though. My dad was sat with them and they were watching the monkeys. They saw a mum with her baby, and asked whether the baby monkey would cry if its mummy died and would she become an angel. Brings a lump to the throat at times. But on the whole, they are adjusting well - thanks for asking :)

Jane Report 9 Oct 2010 21:01

Not that cold here Fiona ,just a little nip in the air lol.I do wish I could cook as well as my Mum.I showed no interest in cooking at home whereas my sister was always in the kitchen with Mum.At school too I didn't like cookery classes, and then trying to get what I had cooked home, balanced on my knee on the school bus and then walking the rest of the way home with whatever it was.Carrying a Pyrex Dish with a casserole or something similar was not that easy ,trying to keep the satchel on one shoulder and a PE Bag on the other .I needed to be like an octapus.
