Morning All,
What a miserable morning.I don't want to get dressed yet ,but someone is coming to see Chris in a moment and I don't want to be floating around in my nightie.James is out with Chester. They will probably come back all wet and muddy.
I keep thinking it is Saturday.Out to lunch later so I better get my skates on and do a few bits.

Catie,I hope Mark behaved himself last night!

Morning Jane and all,

Sheila was saying it is two miles to the nearest shop thats the same as me!! and I live out in the wilds don't I girls and boys?

Dull this morning with a cloudy sky. Oh has seen a heron again this morning but this time it was on the grass. He thinks it was bigger than the one we saw the other day and I said the other one looked a bit as if it could have been a young one as its feathers were sort of fluffyish round it's head.

Catie hope you had another good night and baby Mark did'nt keep you up too long for his feed etc.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MR CATIE! hope it's a good one.

Jane Report 10 Sep 2010 11:12

Oh Yes ,sorry ,I forgot.Happy Birthday to Caties OH.
Yes Mel you are out in the sticks ,way out lol

It looks like it is clearing up here now. It's getting quite bright, and I can see blue sky appearing.
Maureen I hope you have a good weekend in Kent.I don't know if you have gone yet.

M O R N I N G.

Wet and horrible here.
Jane I'm sure Chris wouldn't call you "GOBBY" a bit OTT yes !!!
Catie, Hope you are coping well with young Mark. I feel sure he will settle down, when things are better in the family circle. Keep thinking of you and family, Soft old sod I am !!!

Mel, I don't want to teach a granmother to suck eggs. But why don't you put a net over the pond. My son lost loads of fish to the herons, once they find a "Feeding Station" they keep returning.

My FUSE finally blew yesterday evening. A woman who lives at the bottom of the close, drives like a maniac. Yesterday while I was in the front garden, she came down the close at about 50 mph. I saw her walk by last night, I went out to confront her about her driving. She admitted she drives far to fast. and that her Husband has told her on many occassions that she will "KILL" someone before she's much older. With that I BLEW MY TOP. Ros was very annoyed with me for doing it, I finally rang her to apologise for blowing my top. But gave her fair warning, that if I see her driving like that again I will report her. The best of it it she lives next door to our "Neighbourhood watch" coordinator. and she was on the speed camera's that we had in the village a couple of weeks ago. Talk about two faced !!!
I feel a lot better this morning after getting it off my chest.

Afternoon Everyone.

Many thanks for the birthday wishes for my OH. What a birthday so far - spent trying to find a dentist as a HUGE filling has fallen out. Our other dentist has retired and the remaining dentist in the practice doesn't have a good reputation.... Hence the search is on. Last time it was filled he was told that the next time it may have to be extracted. I think that's what will happen. He hasn't any pain.... until hot or cold hits the area. Anyway he has to wait until Tuesday to see the dentist he wants. Hope he doesn't end up dashing to an emergency department. He is so stubborn lol

Frank.... I can understand why you were cross with that lady. She needed to hear the truth before it's too late!!!!!

Mel and Jane..... Hope you are both feeling better today. There seem to be a heck of a lot of bugs about.

Had a good night thank you. Mark woke just once and settled quickly. He's much more content during the day too. When he first came home, I was a bag of nerves and he must have picked up on that. My confidence has grown and he knows lol.

The midwife came and said her puppy had wrecked her kitchen. First the steering wheel and now the units. Apparently he is a Chow Chow called TONKA. She showed me a pic and he looked like a big old teddy bear lol Then she showed me some pics of the damage. Goodness.... that will cost her. She's a real character.... Reminds me of a nurse in those Carry on Films lol

Jane.... Hope you enjoy your lunch.

Afternoon Folks,

Happy birthday to Mr Catie too!! I bet he will be pleased to see his Catie.

Frank, we have one just the same in our close, ours also lives at the bottom, next door to us!! It is quite winding with a high fence on one corner so you can't see around it and she speeds around the bends on the wrong side of the road. Several neighbours have mentioned it. A disaster waiting to happen.......can you come and sort her out too?? lol

I think it feels like a Saturday Jane. OH has gone off to the funeral same time as he would for footie on a Saturday so that is probably why. I've just taken an old t shirt to M&S and got the £5 voucher they are giving in exchange. Spent it already and more on 2 tops!! lol

Do feel a bit better today. Not so many flutters on the old heart. I am always worried I will have the same trouble again as the hospital said I may get it again. The top muscle of my heart stops working properly so the bottom one has to work twice as hard to get the blood through.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 10 Sep 2010 15:07

Catie poor OH and on his birthday too. Better get him some Sensodine toothpaste!! Usually if it is a huge filling they take the nerve out so there should be no pain when the filling is out.

Jane Report 10 Sep 2010 16:36

Only 1 glass Frank.Camembert on Crostini with pear and walnut salad to start and then Lasagne.I feel a bit sick now lol.It was delicious though.Chis had some kind of Kidney thing to start and then `calves liver.YUK YUK on both accounts to me.But he really enjoyed it.I never cook liver or kidneys so if they are on a menu he makes the most of it.
I noticed some strange red marks on my legs this morning.Chris reckons they could be to do with the viral thing I have had.

Catie I think you can buy patch things to cover a hole in a tooth from a lost filling. That might be an idea for your OH until he gets to the dentist.

Mel I'm glad you are feeling better.Just take it easy for a bit ,but I know you find it difficult to do nothing.

Good on you Frank for saying something to that woman .I wonder if she will take any notice.I doubt it !

Here I am again just popping in when I get the chance, been to back exercise class , wow was fast today, she keeps you on the move doing exercises to pop music and also using weights, I am very tired, then after my shower daughter no 1 came down with the little one and we went to see my dad. Sofia kept the the residents busy passing car key's around back and forwards. the staff say's she can come in and work anytime.

Daughter no 2 & I are off to a hen party tonight, one of daughters friends gets married at the end of September. don't know really why I have been invited , why does she want the oldies there?????

I hope there won't be any male stippers AHHHHH????? I will be out of there in a shot, not my kind of thing. I probably won't make it past 10.00 , and will be too tired to stay awake, will phone OH to come & get me.
anyway I am away to sort out what I am wearing

Chester has climbed up for a fuss and did a huge burp right in my face lol.No manners that dog!!

I wouldn't mind seeing a male stripper Fiona,as long as he didn't get too close lol

Thanks for the info Mel, Jane and Mandy. I will pop into a chemist am to pick something up. I had a good look and there's hardly any tooth left - he's only got 2 cusps there. About 2 yrs ago he bit into a pear which wasn't ripe and cracked the tooth..... it has played up ever since.

Mel..... Sorry to hear you have had that kind of trouble. Glad you are feeling a bit better today.

Your meal sounded nice Jane. My OH loves liver too, but I don't cook it that often. I should do as it is so cheap - would save a few pennies.

Mandy.... Hope you don't go down with that bug. Several children in the twins class are off with a tummy bug.... Hope they don't go down with it or the white van might be coming to collect me lol

Fiona..... Male strippers eh.... Not my scene either. I've been to a couple of hen nights and all I can think about when they appear is their rate of pay lol.

Well, about a month ago I booked a meal at a Greek Restaurant for OH's birthday. Friends say the food is great and the entertainment at the end of the evening is fantastic. Music... plate spinning.... plate smashing... that kind of thing. Thought I would cancel for obvious reasons.... But BIL said Go Go Go..... So we are going. Not sure whether OH will be able to eat very well though lol. Must say, I do feel a bit guilty.

See you all tomorrow xx
