Morning All,

Boo Hoo.....I was tichy too once Fiona, had a 22inch waist (have kept one old skirt to remind me lol). I was always sporty at school and at age 35 was still playing badminton with a top local team. Always had to eat like a mouse even then though.........and now I don't do all that exercise!!!!!!

Yes flushes can make you feel a bit panicky at first.....feels as if something else is about to happen, but you don't know what. I had bad monthlies, a migraine a few days before and heavy painful ones. I had a fibroid lasered in my 40s after spending £30 some months on STs and tampons. HRT was my saviour then until I got an ovarian cyst and I had a hysterectomy and they found extensive endometriosis. I wasn't surprised.
The surgeon was very helpful and warned me some women can sail through these things and that others are devastated. I told him I would have to make sure I concentrated on sailing then and all the positives!! We got on well and I sent him an Xmas card that year!!! To be honest I was just so glad the cyst wasn't malignant, that was all that really mattered.

There used to be funny names for monthlies didn't there like.......time of the month, I've got visitors......or the painters are in!!! lol

In the beginning when I first started haveing hot flushes and they were really bad , every body at work would say lucky you not having to go through the monthlie's ( work mates terms) and the stomach pains, etc
I said I will swop you any time. I was so fed up of feeling on fire and feeling panicky,
Now they have calmed down , I am quite glad I don't have the monthlies but only complain about the hot flushes at night.

Sorry ladies tichy me don't have problems with my bits only thing I hate is when there's a river running in between them sometimes. that I go and have a wash down.

I'm off to bed now bits and all.
Annx I hope your feel more comfortable when you do manage to hang them up on the back of the door. don't forget to collect them in the morning, lol!!!!
See ya all tomorrow

Gawd Jane, you made me sit up then...I thought the cockerel was called FIONA!!!! lol We have doves cooing in the early hours...was half awake this morning and halfway out of bed to look out of the window to see the 'cuckoo' before I realised it was the doves.

Do you find your 'bits' get in the way in bed at night? You know, trapped and suchlike. OH and I both decided it would be nice if we could take them off at times and hang them side by side on the back of the door till in the morning!!!! lol

When I was tested for the menopause my doctor told me I was changing into a man!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to top myself there and then.
I went into a state of psychological mourning for something I was missing - my period, no more kids. I didnt want anymore but now I knew there was less chance of having any, I had a sense of loss. Pathetic I know but lets say something positive - NO PERIODS.

Jean good luck with your mammogram results.I'm glad you had a spare falsie lol.I have just got off the phone to a friend who has just been diagnosed with Breast cancer and she is so scared. She lives on her own but does have a lot of very good friends near her.I am 300 miles away so had to give her a big cyber hug and kiss.
Fiona the cockerel wakes me every morning about 4 am lol ,I could strangle him sometimes but I think I am getting used to it now and do go back to sleep.

Hi Jane < Hi Jean

We are going to busy with Pam & Lorraine both away.
Hope everything goes well Jean at the hospital with your Mammogram results.

I think I have only had 2 hot flushes to day, but didn't need to strip off as usual. They don't seem to be bothering me through the day as much but at night it really hard work, for the last few weeks I have been leaving the bedroom window and the bathroom windows on the first catch as to let the cool air in. stopped sleeping under quilt and just have 1 sheet. still kicking legs, arms and any other part of the body to cool off

I also am having problems with the day light no matter what time I go to bed I'm waking up about 4 am to go to the loo and it's bright daylight.
I have black out curtains but the light is showing over the top and under the bottom its comes through the ventian blinds to so have started to tuck curtains under blinds on the window sil,
I like to sleep in a dark room.

Went to put on my falsie today, and found it had split and the gel was coming out. Luckily I have an old one, a bit small but doesnt show if you dont look too close! Will get a new one next time I am by the hospital, next week I think for my mammogram results.

Have a great time in France Pam
Can you stop in Scotland on your way to France and pop me in your suitcase, I promise I'll be no trouble, I could really do with a break just now.

Daughter no 2 phoned again yesterday and said her boss at work who is 7 months pregnant has told her not to come to work for 2 weeks, (part time job)
seemingly this is the second time daughters boyfriend has had mumps(she didn't know him the last time) so she cannot be near
anyone who is expecting a baby. luckly she has another job in a pub at the weekends to keep her in the money or we would have to keep putting more money in the bank to keep her fed.

It is an excellent garden centre, sells much more than gardening stuff and has a large cafe.
where did you go?

F

F Report 12 Jun 2009 21:28

No Ann, we didn't go to the garden center at Burford. Found there was so much to see and do in the short time we were there. Will def return to the area again for a holiday.
